Although Barbara Smith has been doing crafts since she very little, she does not specialize in any one craft. She likes both needlepoint and crocheting, but her favorite is to crochet. She is proud of her craftsmanship as she deserves to be, because it is of the highest quality. "If it is not right, I take it apart and start all over," she says. Her work has won many awards over the years in craft shows and festivals. On this website she is selling crocheted afghans, a crocheted shawl, container dolls, and a needlepoint Cross Wall Hanging. Barbara relocated to Newport, TN is 1992 from Trenton, Maine, near Bar Harbor. She loves the Smoky Mountain area for the beauty of the mountains and the friendliness of the people. She is busy not only with her crafts, but she also sells Tupperware, is an active member of the Natural Bridge Ruritan Club of Parrottsville, TN (a local service club), and serves as Vice President of the Art and Craft Guild of the Smokies.
