
![]() David Freeman was born and raised in East Tennessee and studied art at East Tennessee State University. He worked as a commercial artist for twelve years before becoming a full time freelance artist. David enjoys painting the beautiful scenery that abounds in his homeland, the great Smoky Mountains, as well as the beautiful Spring flowers: Iris, Dogwood, and Rhododendron. Multi-talented, David works in Oils, Watercolors, Pastels, Pencils, and Stained Glass. He also does custom framing and faux painting. Painting murals is one of David's newest adventures. You can see David's latest commissioned work at the Gatlinburg Town Square Resort (traffic light #8), in Gatlinburg, TN. You can't miss this mural as it is 65 feet wide x 13 feet high . Good work, David! Others can be seen on the south side of the Modern Woodman Building in Newport (at the corner of Hwy 321 and Main Street); near the entrance of the Smoky Mountain National Park in Cosby, TN; A 200 ft. long by 11 ft. tall mural at the Loft Resort in Gatlinberg TN; and in many private homes throughout East Tennesse. |
