One of Joan Beaver's "Peculiar People" soft-sculpture dolls, the Matriarch sits upon a base 7" x 6", and is about 18" tall.  She is the head of her family and you'd better do what she wants!   She is dressed in a black dress and the red shoes with buckles that she always wanted as a child.   She sits in a cushioned chair, holding her glasses and a brass-and-glass walking stick.   Her hair in back is enclosed in a snood.
