Thelma Ogle, Artist

Thelma Ogle was born and raised in East Tennessee and lives in Newport with her husband, Charlie, and family. Thelma has earned an associate degree in Art Education at Walter State Community College in Morristown, TN and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art with additional licensure in Art Education, K-12, at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Thelma has established an outstanding reputation for quality and service specializing in unique concepts in stylized portraits and custom-designed framing. Thelma's main objective with her portraits is rendering a true likeness, while capturing the personality of each subject. Each drawing is given full attention to detail.
Thelma was commissoned to do this oil painting of Dale Earnhardt, a Nascar favorite, in 1997. Although the original is not for sale, high-quality giclee prints are available for purchase.
